What hardware do I need?

You will need at least one Roku device, a computer, at least one HDHomeRun device, and an HDTV antenna if you are planning on capturing over-the-air broadcasts.


How do I set it up?

Set up your HDHomeRun, install the Deeviar back-end software on a computer inside your home network, configure your user profiles and channels using the Deeviar web admin interface, and install the Deeviar channel on your Roku device.


Does it work with cable?

Yes, with the HDHomeRun Prime.


Which devices do you support?

Deeviar supports all HDHomeRun devices.


Where does the guide information come from?

You will need to set up a subscription with Schedules Direct to use the guide.


Am I required to have a Schedules Direct subscription?

No.  You can watch live tv without the guide.


Which operating systems do you support?

The initial launch only supports Linux, but Windows will be supported in the near future.


Can I import my own videos into the Deeviar library?

Yes.


Do you support multiple user profiles?

Yes, each profile can have its own set of channels, its own library, and you can even password protect them.


Do you support multiple Roku devices simultaneously?

Yes.
